Assam Tea
Nestled between the kingdom of Bhutan in the north-west and Myanmar in the south-east, the Assam valley is the largest tea-growing region in India, with thousands of different tea estates. Although the black tea from Assam are the most renowned smallest quantities of green teas and white teas are also produced in this region. Often enjoyed as the breakfast blends, Assam black teas can be recognised by their large, broad leaves and bright, rich and full bodied infusion which is excellent plain or served with a dash of cold milk.
